Rolling Thunder ® Inc. Virginia Chapter 1 History

Rolling Thunder® Inc., and Virginia Chapter 1, is not a motorcycle club, nor are we a bunch of "bikers." Anyone desiring to join Rolling Thunder® Inc., must do so with the mind set of being actively involved in working for the POW-MIA cause and in supporting local veterans.

Rolling Thunder® Inc., draws attention to the POW-MIA cause through not only our community activities, but also through the use of our vehicles, including motorcycles, in parades and community based events. Any man, woman and/or child (with a parent), who owns a truck or car, and, yes motorcycles are acceptable, or anyone who can be transported by someone else to a function, may join us if they are willing and dedicated in donating time and effort to one thing -- the POW-MIA cause.

Our members come from all walks of life, and consist not only of veterans from the Vietnam and Korean conflicts, and World War I & II, but also are homemakers, electricians, wives, husbands, students, retired and active-duty military, factory workers, carpenters, police officers, professionals, business owners, and...Well, you can see that we are very diversified. Oh yeah, there are some motorcycle enthusiast on board, as well.

Virginia Chapter 1 is involved with the Veterans Administration Hospital in Martinsburg, WV. We support the patients with the need of friendship and companionship, and provide materials to make their stay just a little better. If you feel like you should also be involved by returning a thank you to these vets for the freedom you enjoy, contact us...Go ahead, do it!
